Privacy
StorageSauce lists public storage-unit auctions. You can browse without an account. This page says, in plain words, what we keep if you make one and why.
Your account
- Email and password (the password only as a one-way hash) — to sign you in and reset your password.
- Your first name, if you give it — to greet you.
- Saved auctions and notes — so they're there on every device.
- Reminder setting — whether to email you before a saved auction closes.
Your profile (optional)
After signing up we ask a few optional questions. You can skip any of them.
- ZIP code and search distance — to start your searches near you.
- How often you buy and what you look for — to show more relevant units, and to understand who uses the site.
- How you heard about us — to know which places are worth telling people about the site.
- Email preferences: a weekly digest of hot units near you, and a list for news about a future paid "Pro" plan. You choose each one; you can turn them off any time.
On this device
Your browser keeps your last ZIP, distance and (before you sign in) saved auctions, so the site remembers them. We count page visits with Umami, which doesn't use cookies or track you across sites.
What we don't do
We don't sell your information or share it with advertisers. Our emails are sent through Amazon SES.
